Companion Pairing

When to use it

Use companion pairing when a backend install should report its local status and incidents to the proxy-side runtime. Do not enable it on backends that do not need it.

Pairing steps

1. Install and license ExploitSniffer on Velocity.
2. Install and license ExploitSniffer on the backend.
3. Run /eps companion key on Velocity.
4. Run /eps companion setup on the backend.
5. Run /eps companion status on both sides.

Security

• Keep companion routing private where possible.
• Do not paste keys or private endpoints in public support channels.
• Rotate pairing material if it is exposed.
