ExploitSniffer
Last modified: 26 April 2026
What it is
ExploitSniffer is proxy-first anti-exploit protection for Minecraft networks. It is designed to sit on Velocity first, reduce crash and abuse traffic before it reaches backend servers, and give staff enough incident context to act without exposing detector internals publicly.
What it protects
| Area | Public explanation |
|---|---|
| Proxy traffic | Rejects malformed, oversized, repeated, or suspicious client behavior before it reaches backend servers. |
| Integrations | Adds guardrails around supported plugin communication paths without documenting bypass-grade detector logic. |
| Pressure events | Helps staff see when a source or player is creating abnormal runtime load. |
| Evidence | Stores enough incident detail for support review while keeping sensitive evidence private. |
Recommended setup
Velocity proxy
ExploitSniffer installed
profile: balanced
Optional Paper-family backend
Install only when you need backend-local visibility, GUI access, or companion reporting
Public doc scope
These docs explain installation, operations, safe tuning, permissions, rollout, and support. They intentionally do not publish detector formulas, private check lists, packet layouts, relay implementation details, or bypass-relevant thresholds.
